So you may be wondering who I am. My name is Emily Larson, I am 19 years old and will be a Junior at Bradley University in the fall of 1998. I am majoring in Advertising and minoring in Marketing. I graduated from Maine South High School in 1996. GO HAWKS! Most of my family also went to Maine South. Those were the days!
I am from Park Ridge, Illinois which is a Northwest suburb of Chicago. I live with my parents and I have one sister, Kirsten, who just graduated Maine South this June. Oh yeah, I also have a bird named Caddy (after a golf caddy). How ridiculous! It talks but no one ever believes us when we tell them.
My mom's name is Sandy. She is a school nurse in District 64 in Park Ridge. She loves her job and loves working with kids. She enjoys gardening and reading.
My dad's name is Donald. He works for our family business called Larson Forge, which is located in Chicago. They forge steel products for things such as aircrafts, the Space Shuttle program, and other types of machines. My dad loves to play golf and, like the rest of my family, is a huge Chicago Bulls fan! The Bulls, by the way, just won the NBA finals for the sixth time in eight years!
My sister Kirsten just graduated high school and will be going to Miami of Ohio in the fall of 1998. She likes reading, photography, and hanging out with her friends.
Other then my immediate family there are 23 of us total. We are a very close family and we like to do many things together. This summer we are all going to Colorado to vacation together. We have already been on two other family vacations, one to Disney World and another to Hawaii. All of look forward to this special time.
I am definitely a people person but since this trip to Europe I find it nice to be by myself sometimes. Some of my interests include photography, golfing, traveling, and swimming. I love to travel because I enjoy see what else is out there. I was a foriegn exchange student in Finland in 1995. This was a excellent learning experience for me. I am currently on the Varsity swim team at Bradley University. At school I am in the Chi Omega Fraternity which, besides swimming, keeps me very busy.
All in all I like having a good time!!
