CONCLUSION
Overall, privacy on the internet is becoming
more and more a concern of our society as we enter into the
era of the information highway. Both Kant and Utilitarian theories reach
the same conclusion that it is morally wrong to have such easy access to
private files of people. The right to have your personal information kept
private is being violated and measures need to be taken on the web to
counteract this problem. Businesses which specialize in encryption in
order to access more selective are getting more and more popular, but
this doesn't deal with the problem of your documents being held by te
government and businesses. Measures need to be take which required such
rganizations to crack down on how easily you can access private
information. This is going to take some time and people are going to have
to become more educated in the area of the internet, but it is possible.
Perhaps requirements need to made for the companies to crack down on
access and to incorporate programs which combat hacker problems. If not,
this problem with privacy on the net is only going to get worse and then
consquences more and more grave.
