Since 1987 we have a computer
in every residence hall room. We provide textbooks with tuition
(a small rental fee is included) so students pick up their primary
text at the beginning of the semester and then return it at the
end saving a huge amount of money. Also, our campus is a state
arboretum—we have several types of trees all across campus
and a published “Tree Walk” for self-guided tours.

We used to be considered
a party school for students. We have moved away from that but
we are still fighting the “suitcase mentality” of
our students. Many students live locally and go home for the weekend. |
