Due to the recent reorganization of the Computing and Communications division, University of Toronto Instructional and Research Computing (UTIRC) no longer exists as a separate department. The groups which composed UTIRC now belong to the following new organizations:

Information Commons

Instructional Technology: Consulting services on IT design and existing applications.
Multimedia Applications: Consulting on Multimedia design: demonstration and productions facilities.
World Wide Web Resources: Consulting services, online documentation and resources.
Adaptive Technology Resource Centre: Campus resource Centre of hardware and software aids for people with disabilities.

High Performance Research Computing

Supercomputing Software Support: Support in the development of supercomputing applications for parallel and vector computers
Cluster Computing: Support for using networks of ordinary UNIX systems together to form a virtual supercomputer.
Supercomputing Facilities: KSR supercomputer, available to University researchers
Data Visualization: Consulting on visualization techniques, software, and the production of videos from digital images; access to demonstration and production facilites

The Information Commons maintains an important collection of HTML and Web authoring resources. These are:
