Introduction

This lesson was developed as part of Bradley University’s Teacher Education course 371: General Secondary Methods II, as assigned by Dr. David McMullen.  It was a group project that was developed by four individuals, which incorporated their areas of study, specifically English, History, Science, and Art.

This lesson is about the sinking of the RMS Titanic, one of the most famous maritime disasters in history.  Students will learn about the differences in class and social structure, the physics of the ship’s building, the art and architecture that made the Titanic a “luxury liner,” and some of the key figures involved.
