Conclusion

Our Hurricane Watch Team WebQuest is designed to show students how English, History, Mathematics, and Science can all be interrelated in a lesson plan. Most importantly, however, we believe this lesson on hurricanes is very important information that students should know. This WebQuest is meant to enlighten students, especially those who live in the Midwest and are not affected by hurricanes, about the different types of hurricanes and what to do if you were ever in a situation where a hurricane was about to hit. Also, for those students who are familiar with hurricanes and the effects of them, they will still benefit from this WebQuest because they will learn new information on the many different hurricanes that have hit the United States, as well as learn how to calculate the different degrees of hurricanes. This WebQuest helps students learn how to work well in group settings and work together to produce a final group presentation that is creative and informational.
