Not only does Fiorina share her views on pertinent issues, she shares some very personal information about herself. She does not seem to wear a mask at all. In fact, Fiorina openly shares in text and video about some tough times in her life. The videos reveals the personal side of Fiorina, a side she wants the reader to know and connect with. Revealing her background and how she worked her way up to the present helps the reader understand and get to know her - which seems to be the goal of Fiorina. Fiorina also wants to connect with her reader by the opportunity to stay in touch through Facebook and Twitter.

Barbara Boxer - Incumbent Senator in California

Based on her website, Boxer wants to keep her relationship with readers professional rather than personal, as there is hardly any personal information on her website. It is strictly the facts, and lots of them! On each of her webpages, she does have a link to change the font of the print. Again, I think this indicates Boxer's emphasis on the reader being able to know everything she has accomplished in office; she does not want the reader to miss anything by not being able to read it! There is no mention of Facebook or Twitter but a link to email Boxer.
