One of Fiorina's main motivation in running for Senator in California is because she is against the incumbent, Barbara Boxer, and her liberal policies. Fiorina states, "For 18 years, Barbara Boxer has championed liberal policies that will bankrupt our nation and destroy the American Dream for our children and grandchildren. But we have an opportunity to stop her.” She says that Washington needs a conservative Senator, as herself, who will stand up for California and bring real change.
