Untitled -- A Description of a World

The planet, for the most part, looks a lot like earth, except around the equator there is a 50-mile wide band of gold. Another distinguishing feature is that just above the equator, there are letters that wrap around the whole planet, saying, "Humans are the highest form of life, no joke." These letters are also in gold, and we’re not talking about a gild job here, this is the real deal, 100% atomic element number 79. The rather ironic part of this human ego boosting text, is that the planet is actually an XP-142 Delta Extreme Force Special Limited Edition Jort, manufactured by Ranboli Toys a company that is owned and staffed by the Zogo. Zogos are giant space creatures that sometimes live on another plane of existence, and are beings that are much smarter, wiser, and all around more tolerable than humans. They also like to play Voop voop, which despite its grandiose scale, is a lot like a game of marbles, except if you loose, your willyfump is dazledorped, and any Zogo will tell you, assuming that you speak Zogonese, is that a dazledorped willyfump is not a very pleasant experience, but extremely funny if it happens to someone else. This particular model was designed to wibble an opponets Trumlow while preventing a lagdopping of your Shunck. The other ironic part is that if anyone read Zogonese, he, she, or it would find that it was a taunt that roughly means, "Hey buddy, your Joojoozork is showing." This is a very embarrassing situation that no Zogo ever wants to be in.

The original colonist on the planet, which they called The West, died of a rare form of syphylcrabs. Almost all of their way of life was lost along with them. Historians assume, however, that clothing played a large part in their lives, as they found many bills labeled "Laundry." Not long after the resettling of the planet, the population experienced their first and only artificial disaster. A couple of Zogo kids decided to play a pickup game of Voop Voop with the XP-142 they found just floating about. The game lasted only one turn, when one of the Zogo’s dazzle spheres crashed into The West. Normally an XP-142 Delta Extreme Force Special Limited Edition Jort could take such a blow, but the previous colonist had chipped away so much gold that a fourth of the planet fractured on impact. For the most part, the planet remained livable, except for the release of triopaline voynate gas, which caused 90% of the male population to have a great wander lust. If the affected men stayed in one spot for more than two standard time units, they would convulse, enter into a coma, and proceed to die.

The remaining 10% of the men and all of the women live in huge doughnut shaped complexes called doughmes, which house Revalchemy reactors. Using the abundant gold, the colonist are able to break down an atom of gold into 79 hydrogen atoms. There is a net loss of zero in terms of energy as the neutrons released from the process replenish the spent energy. Revalchemy, short for reverse alchemy or the process of changing gold into everything else, supplies the colonist with all of their basic chemical needs.

The resettling of The West allowed for a large exodus of Transferent Ritzites. Often looked down upon by the more conservative First Ring planets. Transferent Ritzites believe that one only has to maintain a strong, usually offensive, odor somewhere. This goes against common practice that a person must have the strong scent. Transferent Ritzites are often called Roomies due to their maintenance of Stink Rooms.

The government does not have a full separation of church and state. There are many countries, each with several doughmes. Each doughme, however, belongs to a secular state, a spiritual state, and a wanderer state. These complex associations often result in violence, with allies turning on each other pending on which state is in conflict. Secular states tend to be the smallest in size, followed by spiritual states, and wanderer states tend to be the largest of the three. Each state is a confederation of the doughmes, and thus the power that they are able to wield is limited to what the doughmes allow. Doughmes, however, are micro-federations, and are divided into nine voting districts. Each voting district elects two high senator and five common senators. The common senators then vote on which of the high senators is to become the executive administrator.

The social custom dictates that any wanderer is to be allowed to stay at one’s residence as they are considered to be in need. Wanderers often make up a state’s militia, although there is always a large mix of allegiances in such an organization. The rest of the population is expected to be scholars, poets, and artisans. It is a social taboo for a woman to have a child with a wanderer, and thus calling a child Stu is an insult, as it means Standard Time Unit, inferring that the child’s father is a wanderer.
