An Overview of the Future World (that I am still in the process of ironing out)

The world of 2212 is a place of change. Europe is in a state of chaos, civil wars with dictators one after the other. Asia’s economy has collapsed and communism is slowly falling apart. Africa continues to develop on its own individual course.

The government of the United States has become more controlling. Mechanical/biological circuits are placed in everyone’s brains at the age of 13 to make sure everyone’s brain functions “normally” and enhances their skills to improve the job market. The government is in charge of maintaining the chips by sending out electromagnetic pulses to guarantee they work properly. The entire system has become somewhat of a religion; the inventor of the circuit is worshipped for allowing people to evolve to a new level where they can make their society that much better.
