Research
In the
last few years, Dr. Curtis's research interest has turned to the Fourth
Amendment. He has published articles on
the judicial impact of the Arizona v.
Gant decision, an article on the use of cell phones to track suspects, and
has a book forthcoming with his great friend and collaborator, Mike Gizzi of Illinois State University. There are two forthcoming book chapters
workplace privacy and the use of data from electronic devices by the
police. There are plans to work on
legitimizing a new tool for quantitatively measuring the importance of cases,
specifically using the federalism jurisprudence of Chief Justice Rehnquist as a
case study. After all, one of the chief
joys of this job is the ability to decide for yourself what you are going to
work on next.
