Teaching
I believe that the goal of teaching at the university level should be the fostering of skills that lead to a lifetime of learning. As such, it is more important that a student learn theoretical perspectives on politics than to learn the details of institutions. I also like to focus on the outputs, i.e., policy, of governments. I firmly believe that certain gateway skills can be developed. These include command of the language, critical thinking skills, creativity, and the ability to relate theory to the real world.
