Connor is a 28 week gestation infant who is now on the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). His mother, who is 17 YO went into preterm labor for no known cause. Connor was ventilated for 30 hours, and is now having difficulty maintaining body temperature. You receive orders to initate physical therapy for Connor (this type of patient is not a new graduate skill --specialty training is required for NICU involvement). Listed below are a few more subjective and objective findings that you record as you are reviewing the chart.

Subjective:

• -mother is in high school, and uninsured
• -Connor's mother has little moral support available
• -the father is unidentified at this point
• -mother's past medical history is unremarkable

Objective:

• -birth weight 1200 grams
• -displays diorganized, fluctuating motor tone and movement
• -Morgan Assessment score: 1 or 2 for all three components
