Edna is a 68 y.o. female admitted to the rehabilitation unit today with a diagnosis of cerebral vascular accident. The social worker has contacted you and reports she needs FIM scores for Edna ASAP. You diligently adjust your schedule to accomodate another assessment.

Subjective:

• Edna lives alone in her own home
• in the chart you find an original diagnosis of hysterical conversion which was later ruled out by a repeat CAT scan

Objective:

• poor sitting and standing balance
• Ambulation requires moderate assistance for 15 feet on level surfaces, poor foot placement, heelstrike and toe-off on the left lower extremity. There is also decreased swing and stance phase on the left.
