Wayne is a 32 YOWM diagnosed with a complete T12 paraplegia secondary to a thirty foot fall while working. Wayne is a pipefitter by trade and verbalized his concern about retaining his job. You are the rehabilitation case manager for Wayne. Currently he is asking about the potential of reproduction and sexual relationships.

Subjective:

• Wayne is married with one child
• Wayne appears to be dealing with his injury well
• Wayne appears to be a motivated individual
• Wayne reports that he has not lived a "traditional, all American, boy next door" lifestyle

Objective:

• Strength: Bilateral UE's - G throughout
• ROM: -15 to 100 degrees of hip flexion/extension
• Gait: nonambulatory
• Transfers: moderate assist WC to mat
