Sharon is a 42 YO Afro-American registered nurse who is diagnosed with aquired immunodeficiency syndrome secondary to infection from leaning against a contaminated syringe in the ER. Sharon is also a second year medical student. It is Sharon's wish to continue to live her life to its fullest without imposing limitations secondary to the pathology.

Subjective:

• Sharon is married and the mother of two children
• Sharon is known in this hospital as a caring, skilled, professional person
• Sharon is taking Bactrim
• Sharon reports fatigue with difficulty completing her day

Objective:

• Cardiopulmonary: decreased max VO2
• Sensory: demonstrates paresthesia in both lower legs
• Gait: is ambulatory without device on levels and stairs with railing
