KANT'S THEORIES
Kant's theory is basically to do onto others as you would
have them do onto you. Privacy is something that people hold with
high regard and the thought of having that violated is very
uncomforting. The easier it becoming to access just about
anything on the web, the less and less privacy you have because
people can look up just about anything in your life. Kant would most
likely pose the question to those violating privacy on the net by picking
up private documents and such whether or not they would want to have the
same situation reversed onto them. When you look at it in that regard, how
many people would really want their whole life exposed to a complete
stranger. The answer is not many. It seems that the majority of people
have some skeletons in the closet that they would like to keep in the
closet. So going along the lines of Kant's theory, he would not support
all this lack of privay on the internet.
